Walking with Wilfrid
2025 marks the 1350th anniversary of St. Wilfred’s founding of our glorious venue, St. Andrew’s Church. In celebration, we present the first concert of the day in magnificent Hexham Abbey. In partnership with The Ramblers we then offer the chance to walk to Corbridge, in the likely footsteps of Wilfred, in the company of some of our festival musicians. After tea and cake and time to refresh, our 2nd concert of there day features the world premiere of a specially commissioned new work by composer Piers Hellawell which takes inspiration from the very stones of St. Andrew’s.
