A short door to door walk from Hexham Abbey to St. Andrew’s Church in Corbridge

Join our guides from Hexham Ramblers in a 5 mile walk from Hexham to Corbridge along part of the River Tyne Trail. Staggered departures leave Hexham Abbey from 1.30pm – with
an approximate arrival time at St. Andrew’s, Corbridge, of 4.00 / 4.30pm.

The route climbs up from Hexham to Dukeshouse Wood and is then largely flat as it continues to Dilston and follows the Devil’s Water and River Tyne into Corbridge.

Limited spaces so please book early. Free for ticket holders to concerts 4 and 5.

Important

Though not a difficult walk, it does require reasonable walking fitness. Sturdy footwear is essential. This could be walking boots or trainers which grip well and provide good support. Sunscreen is recommended. All walkers are advised to carry snacks and plenty of water with them in rucksacks. Refreshments will be provided upon arrival in Corbridge.
